Studies show that discrimination in the health care system endangers LGBTQ people’s lives through delays or denials of medically necessary care. On this episode, Dr. Jackie is joined by Julie Goldman & Brandy Howard, hosts of the popular comedy podcast Dumb Gay Politics. They discuss how LGBTQ patients and their providers can ensure they are getting the best care possible, how Queer patients can feel more comfortable at the gynecologist, and what changes need to be made to help better serve the LGBTQ+ community when it comes to their health. They also discuss proper gay etiquette relating to gender identity and pronouns.
